The battle rifle is back and it is looking better than ever. The battle rifle, abbreviated as “BR”, is a 3-burst, medium range rifle used by Spartans. After making its debut in Halo 2, the BR became the go-to weapon for online play in Halo 3 following.
Controversially, the BR was removed in Halo:Reach and replaced by the single fire DMR (Designated Marksmen Rifle).

Many hardcore fans disliked this change as they had grown so accustomed to the 3-burst BR. Nonetheless, it will make its return in Halo 4 with a reinvented look by 343 Industries. With a new scope and incredible detail, this battle Rifle should prove to be coolest we have seen yet.
