  • like a boss

not much info :( but i love the new jackals!!!!! the elites look like predators literally!!!

    • MrWaffles

personally, i don’t like the new jackals, they’ve gone from smallish, skinny, brave creatures, into large freaky monsters

      • Mack

I think they look how an enemy should look like… Like large freaky monsters.

        • http://halo4nation.com/ spencer hodges

to me the game looks like everything is gonna be fine, still got lots a time to do changes AND to even upgrade stuff, i think the storm jackals (thats what its called though i believe they still have normal jackals) look like dinosaurs XD, here’s the pic: Screen-Shot-2012-08-03-at-10.26.14-AM.png

      • yayap

Large freaky monsters is kind of overacting.
To me they still look smallish, skinny, and pretty much the same. Well, not the head though, but i like it! kinda looks like a moray lol

  • I am mad right now

I dont like the explination for the covenants return, they were defeated, now all of the fucking sudden they are back. What a stupid fucking cop out, pisses me off so mutch.

    • FPS Bred Spartan

And Btw they are the Covenant they are a group of pirates who happened to be made of the same species that used to be in the Covenant

    • Ink

So because the Prophet of Truth is killed, and the rest of the prophets are driven away, that means the covenant just disapears from the galaxy forever? No. If the covenant was gone for good, 1. That would piss a lot of people off. it’s not halo without elites, jackals, and grunts. And 2. It would be unrealistic. There was a book written about Halo which takes place after halo 3, and it explains why the covenant still exists, and it’s realistic. They’re not just going to disappear.

      • I am mad right now

“Truth, The Covenant, The Flood…. It’s finished” – Cortana
        “It’s Finished” – Master Chief
They said that at the end of Halo 3, WE FINISHED THE FIGHT.

        • FPS Bred Spartan

The war is over but the Covenant still exits and they still hate us…

        • Ink

That doesn’t mean the covenant is going to disappear, and all the Unggoy, Kig-yar, Sangheili, Jiralhanae etc; died off.
If the Al-Quaeda or whatever was destroyed, there would still be remnants of it, who would try to carry on and rebuild. The same thing applies to the Covenant.

        • Well, I’m NOT mad right now

That doesn’t mean they’re gone forever

    • benjo

Basically, the covenant you fight is lead by very desperate and religious Elites. Still believing that the Forerunners were gods, leaving “holy relics” behind for them use against humanity and what not.
After losing the Prophets, their leadership, the covenant started to collapse. So these religious elites decided to take it in their own hands. Rebuilding the covenant with what the prophets left behind. Faith.
Then we have The Arbiter who signed a truce with Lord Hood in Halo 3.So Arby and his crew is for now, the good guys.

    • benjo

Instead of whining about the first thing that pops up in your mind, you could actually read one of the books, or at least check halo.wiki for some great info.

    No info about the Didact….

    Like A Boss is right!

  • I love Tim

Tim you forgot to post about the new Halo 4 Accolades Trailer!

  • Ivan

I think that 343 forgot 1 thing while they were making this game and it seems a lot of people haven’t realized it either. THE WHOLE POINT OF THE GAME. THE NAME ITSELF is Halo, and the objective was always to stop the halo’s from being fired. There is absolutely NO connection to the halos from what i’ve seen thus far, which means no matter how amazing the game looks… in the end it is just pointless

    • YouForgotTheCarrots

We have no idea on whether a halo array will be present, and if it isn’t, requiem is a shield-world, designed to stop halo arrays, I bet we learn stuff about the halos in the campaign. It is not pointless, we don’t even know all/any of the story, all we know is requiem, infinity, prometheans, covenant and MC

    • Xerkxes

Just as there’s been The legend of Zelda games without Zelda.
It’s marketing, they want to continue the story, but the even if the games have no direct involvement with the Halo’s, there’s a chance that if they called it a different name it would not sell as well, they are still using the name Halo because that’s what people know.

besides, Halo’s may still play a roll, there still are 6 of them out there.

  • Squatchmen

    new jackals: awesome
