Promethean Wolf?

Thanks to Waypoint User Noble Squash for pointing this out.

If you look at the 2:15 mark in the recent behind the scenes video, towards the bottom left you will see an unidentified creature. This creature looks very similar to a crawler, but is slimmer and much more dog like.

This can also be seen in the E3 trailer, but I didn’t think much of it back then.

Now compare this with the original crawler and the more heavily armored crawler spotted in Spartan Ops.

Conclusion

I believe that the wolf-like promethean is just another class of crawler which varies in its strength and tactics from other crawlers. Perhaps it is the fastest/weakest type of crawler, because instead of having a fully armored pincer head, it has an exposed smaller head. Just a thought, either way I think it looks badass.

        Are you trying to say that because i don’t work for 343 and don’t have the opportunity to make a better one, that this means that what I’m saying is wrong about how shit the wolf thing looks?

    I agree, it’s more than likely just another class of crawler. They’ve shown both orange and blue promethean nights, so why not have both colors of everything else.

    I actually wished that the colors of the Prometheans were blue in the first place. I like the orange and grey mix, but blue and grey seems much more appealing.

    Its just a heavily armored blue crawler guys look closely at the picture of the wolf and the heavily armored crawler. They are the same. 343 said that there will be 3 classes of crawlers, the standered, a heavily armored and a long range one.

    These look so awesome! i hope they vary in difficulty, or maybe theyre different classes with different abilities such as camo or watcher back ups? But i would love to see different factional types such as blue are good and orange are bad which could start some pretty epic wars ;) and i hope they add spawning npcs in forge for us forever aloners to practice on that would also help machinima makers alot :)
